Last Friday, the Elementary School gathered for the first annual "Reading Celebration"! The books that won the Nebraska Golden Sower awards were shared, students were recognized for who checked out the most library books in each class, and the top five most popular library books were announced. We all applauded that 7,250 books were checked out of the Pleasanton School library this year. Amazing!!
We ended the program by handing out the books earned from the Book Blast program. Every student went home with at least one new book for the summer. Thank you to everyone who helped support our Book Blast, and Mrs. Heins for her dedication to our students and always ensuring they have an opportunity to read!
Friday was a fun day for Jonnie, Isaac & Emma as they got to participate in their own "Play Day" and were cheered on by several Elementary students! Way to go!
PPS would like to send a THANK YOU shout-out to T & T Mobile Washing! They once again donated their time & services to wash ALL the staff vehicles at school today! They do an amazing job & we appreciate their dedication to supporting our educators & support staff. Check them out if you are in need of a mobile washing service!

Pleasanton's National Honor Society's last project for the year is a BOOK DRIVE! Please donate new or gently used books for kids living at Crossroads Mission Shelter. Books can be dropped off in the front office or Mrs. Wilke's office.
