MEET DAY!
Today is the NSAA District D-5 Cross Country Meet at Cross Creek Golf Course in Cambridge! Our varsity runners will compete to punch their ticket to the STATE MEET!
The National Anthem will be at 2:55 PM, followed by the girls race at 3:00 PM and the boys race at 3:40 PM.
Due to wet conditions, spectators are asked to please stay off the greens.

Last year, Pleasanton launched our Beef to School Program with a goal of bringing fresh, locally raised beef straight to our students’ lunch trays! We’re excited to continue this program and are once again seeking beef donations and processing donations from our wonderful community.

On Wednesday, our 6th grade class participated in Inventure Day — students were put into groups with students from SEM & Elm Creek and had to invent a new product using the same gadget. Mentors walked them through the entrepreneurial process, & then they presented to the group. Some Pleasanton FFA students participated as mentors as well!

Good luck to our cross country runners at the Wilcox-Hildreth Cross Country Invitational at the Franklin Country Club. The High School girls race begins at 1:30 and the high school boys race is at 2:00. Go Bulldogs!

Our students competed in an egg drop challenge through the College of Education, learned about avian flu and how it spreads in the Biology Department, and tested their college knowledge with a fun game of Jeopardy. They even got to experience navigating the UNK dining hall during peak lunch hour—and thankfully, no one came away hungry!
A huge thank you to UNK and ESU 10 for providing this wonderful opportunity for our Junior High HAL students. We appreciate you giving them the chance to explore new subjects, experience a college campus, and see some of the possibilities that await them in the future!
Dear Pleasanton Families,
We want to make you aware of reports of a phone scam that has recently impacted several Nebraska school districts.
In these incidents, a parent receives a call from an unknown number. The caller falsely claims to be a school employee, often identifying themselves as a counselor or other staff member, and says that the parent's child is in trouble or involved in an emergency situation. The caller then attempts to direct the parent to meet at a location to pick up their child and may instruct them not to disconnect the call or discuss it with anyone else.
These calls are fraudulent and should not be trusted.
Please note:
If a parent receives a call claiming their child is in trouble, they should hang up and contact the school directly using the school's published phone number.
School staff will not ask parents to meet at secret, undisclosed, or off-campus locations to pick up a student.
School personnel will not instruct parents to keep a situation confidential or prevent them from contacting others.
Parents should be cautious of calls from unknown numbers that create a sense of urgency or pressure immediate action.
While this scam is not new, reports indicate it continues to reappear from time to time in different communities. Awareness is one of the best tools for preventing these scams from succeeding.
If families receive suspicious calls, we encourage you to contact local law enforcement and notify school officials so patterns can be identified and shared with the appropriate authorities.
