Heidi Darby from Buffalo County Extension, brought owl pellets for the 6th grade class to dissect yesterday. They looked for the remains of the owls meals to determine what they may have eaten. The students had a lot of fun digging in and learning!

Monday afternoon we celebrated two of our Bulldog Seniors as they signed letters of intent to continue athletics in college! Congrats to Luke Pawloski, signing to Wrestle at UNK, and Tyra Sekutera, signing to play Basketball at Midland University. Way to go!
We are in the thick of cold and flu season! Please keep your student home if they show any of these symptoms. Remember if a student is sent home sick, they must be symptom free (without the aid of medication) for at least 24 hours before they can return. Help us keep the spread of germs to a minimum!
Yesterday our 2nd graders had the opportunity to learn from PPS Junior & FFA Officer Claire Ahrens, as she taught them about plants, fruits & vegetables and how they grow! This program is part of "Ag in the Classroom" through FFA!
Believe it or not, our lost and found has once again exploded! We have two tables of items that need to be claimed by Friday, or they will be donated. If you see something that belongs to your student, let the office know! Or stop in the morning or afternoon to browse through it!
We are thrilled to showcase Caleb Brummer as the very first recipient of the Pleasanton Community Law Enforcement Scholarship. Caleb is attending Southeast Community College and majoring in Criminal Justice. Caleb is also in the National Guard and recently graduated from AIT. Good luck Caleb and congratulations on a job well done!
We would also like to thank the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office for their partnership in making this scholarship possible. A special thank you to Ronnie Reese and Jerry Lammers for their work each year organizing and supporting the "Thank the Buffalo County First Responders Football BBQ" where the money is raised to fund this scholarship!
